Flowers, Plants and Insects

It was warm beautiful morning, at our backyard. I was looking around and thinking what I'm gonna do, how would I start my chores?  Then, the crape myrtle caught my attention. So, I went around the plant and I saw two beetles, it's quiet interesting! I ran back to the house and got my camera and took picture. I thought of may be there are more insects in the garden so roamed around. Yes, I'm right. I've got two more shots of insects and I wanna share them to you. Hope you're enjoying my photos. Thank you.

Pad Thai or Phat Thai

Pad Thai Seafood

This is one of my favorite Thai dish. It is stir fried pho noodles, a type of rice noodle with eggs, fish sauce, red chili pepper plus any combination of bean sprouts, shrimp, chicken, tofu garnished with crushed peanuts coriander and lime. In Thailand they usually served with scallions and raw banana flower. There are few Thai restaurants near our city, so we can go anytime we want especially when we are craving for Thai food. My husband likes pad Thai seafood with shrimps, scallops and crab meat.  In this picture, we had a chance to visit one of the restaurant in Kennesaw, Ga. before father's day.  The name of the place is fuji hana thai peppers restaurant, it's cozy and accommodating place, the waiters and waitresses are very helpful and well mannered, the food are tasty and affordable. I asked the young lady who was serving us if she's a Thai but she told us that she's a Korean, according to her one of the chef is a Thai and one waiter. It's nice to go places where you know that somebody can speak language you've learned. Yes, Thailand was my second home and I always love to go back there. I may post more Thai food and beautiful places next time. See you on the next post. Thank you.

Fruits and Vegetables from Farmers Market

Fruits and Vegetables

Second day of July 2013 was kind of doomy, gloomy day because some part of the State is having storm but still we got up early to go to Farmers Market. Back in the Philippines, I grew up in the farm and my family grow fruits and vegetables. We always have vegetables in every meal and I love it. I never tired eating veggies. I enjoyed more fruits and vegetables when I was in Thailand. Thailand is abundant of fruits and vegetables, they're not expensive especially during their season. When I came here in the United States of America I'm more conscious of what I'm eating. We all know that when we go to other places we have to expect different environment and food. I like American food and I'm learning how to cook some. My husband and I occasionally eat outside because so expensive dining out. So, I cook most of the time at home. Buying fruits and vegetables at store is more expensive than in Farmers Market therefore, when we knew about the Farmers Market I told my husband that I really want to go and these are the fruit and veggies we got.
